The Telugu remake of the 2018 hit Tamil romantic drama 96 has been titled Jaanu. The Sharwanand-Samantha starrer went on floors last year and it is being helmed by C Prem Kumar, who also directed the original.
The first look and title of Jaanu were revealed through the production house Sri Venkateswara Creations' Twitter handle. The poster features Sharwanand in a lonely desert, photographing a herd of camels.

96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, received critical and commercial acclaim. It tells the story of long-lost lovers meeting after more than two decades. The film was remade in Kannada last year as 99, with Ganesh and Bhavana in the lead.
Prem had earlier told us that he is not making any changes to the original for the Telugu version, and has retained Govind Vasantha and Mahendran Jayaraj as the film’s music composer and cinematographer, respectively.
