It's a wrap for Dhanush-Karthik Subbaraj film

The first look and motion poster of the film, which marks the first collaboration of Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj, will be released on February 19

We had previously reported that Dhanush is teaming up with director Karthik Subbaraj for a film produced by Sashikanth of YNot Studios. Speculated to be titled Suruli, it is now known that the shooting for the film, also referred to as D40, has been completed.

Director Karthik took to Twitter on Sunday and said, "D40 shoot wrapped successfully. Big thanks to Sashikanth sir, Dhanush sir and all the cast and crew for making this happen."

The director, who is teaming up with Dhanush for the first time, also shared that the first look and motion poster of the film will be released on February 19.

With music by Santhosh Narayanan, the film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Kalaiyarasan, Deepak Paramesh, and Sanchana Natrajan in key roles. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush also has Karnan with Mari Selvaraj, a film produced by Sun Pictures, one with Ratchasan-director Ramkumar, a film with Karthick Naren, and one more with his brother, Selvaraghavan.

Dhanush will also be reuniting with Anand L Rai for the Hindi film Atrangi Re, which co-stars Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan.
