Raveena Tandon makes a comeback in Kannada with Yash's KGF Chapter 2

The actor was last seen in the Kannada cinema 20 years ago in Upendra. The actor is set to play the role of former Prime Minister Ramika Sen.

For a long time now, there was a speculation that Raveena Tandon will be playing a pivotal role in Yash-starrer, KGF Chapter 2. This now stands confirmed with the actor joining the film's sets in Mysuru on Sunday. 

Director Prashanth Neel along with the production house, Hombale Films, welcomed the Bollywood actor on board. He shared the news on Twitter and welcomed the actress. He further revealed that Raveena will be playing a role named Ramika Sen.

The actor, in reply, said, "Absolutely, a pleasure to work with the team (sic).

The film, which is a sequel to the blockbuster KGF Chapter 1, also marks the debut of Sanjay Dutt in Sandalwood, who plays the role of Adheera. On the other hand, Raveena is said to be playing the role of a former Prime Minister of India, Ramika Sen.

Raveena marked her debut in Sandalwood in 1999 with Upendra, which had Kannda star Upendra in the lead role. The film turned out to be a huge hit. 20 years later, she is making her come back to Kannada cinema. 

Like KGF Chapter 1, the sequel will also be released in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The film also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag, Malavika Avinash and Vasishta Simha.
