Mallika Sherawat returns to Tamil cinema with Pambattam

We had previously reported that Jeevan of Naan Avan Illai fame is making a comeback to acting with Pambattam that will be directed by Vadivudaiyan, whose Pottu released last year. It's now known that Mallika Sherawat has been roped in for an important role in the film.

A source close to the film unit says that the Bollywood actor will be playing the role of a queen in this film that is touted to be a horror-thriller. 

Interestingly, Mallika Sherawat had previously played a pivotal role in Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram in 2008, and appeared in the special number, Kalasala, in Silambarasan's 2011 film Osthe. 

Meanwhile, she will next make her web series debut with the horror-comedy Booo Sabki Phategi, alongside Tusshar Kapoor. 

Pambattam, produced by V Pazhanivel under his home banner Pazhanivel Film Garden, will be made in Tamil as well as Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Amresh, who collaborated with Vadivudaiyan for Pottu, will be handling the music for Pambattam as well.
