Ashok Selvan, Priya Bhavani Shankar team up for a film

Ashok Selvan and Priya Bhavani Shankar have been roped in to play the leads of an upcoming film produced by Trident Films. Tentatively referred to as Production No 8, the project was officially launched today. 

Directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan, the film will also feature Nasser, Munishkanth, and Ravi Maria in key roles. The untitled project will have music by Bobo Sashi and cinematography by Praveen. It is reported to be the Tamil remake of the 2015 Malayalam comedy, Adi Kapyaare Kootamani, which starred Dhyan Sreenivasan and Namitha Pramod.

Sumanth has earlier directed the 2016 film Sadhuram 2.

Ashok Selvan, who was last seen in Oh My Kadavule, has Redrum and two Telugu films in the pipeline. Priya Bhavani Shankar, on the other hand, has Kuruthi Attam, Kalathil Sandhippon, Indian 2, Bommai, and Oh Mana Penne in her kitty.
