Gautham Karthik-Badri Venkatesh's film

We had previously reported that director Badri Venkatesh is teaming up with Gautham Karthik for an action entertainer based in Triplicane. It is now known that Sri Divya has been roped in as the female lead of the film, making it her first collaboration with both the actor and the director.

“Although the film is an out-and-out action thriller, it has lots of importance for the female lead as well. Soon after completing the script, I felt Sri Divya would be perfect for the character. She will be playing a physiotherapist in this film," says Badri.

Tentatively referred to as Production No 2, the film is produced by L Sinthan and Rajesh Kumar of Positive Print Studios LLP. The project will go on floors next month.

Meanwhile, the makers of this film will soon be releasing their first production venture, the Rio Raj-Ramya Nambeesan-starrer Plan Panni Pannanum, which is also directed by Badri Venkatesh.

Gautham Karthik will next be seen in the Tamil remake of the Kannada hit Mufti and Mani Ratnam's OTT production, Navarasa
