Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas to go on floors in December

The actor stars as a ‘daring and fierce fighter pilot’ in the Indian Air Force

There’s news concerning Kangana Ranaut—and it’s about a movie. Her upcoming film, Tejas, will go on floors in December.

Written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the film is an ode to the Indian Air Force. It will star Kangana as a 'daring and fierce fighter pilot', inspired by the first women inducted into the force in combat roles in 2016.

Produced by RSVP, the ‘mission-based’ film takes us ‘though some of the most challenging combat missions our forces undertake in their effort to keep our country safe from terrorism.’

Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot,” Kangana says. “I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men and women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday.”

“We were in the midst of prep when the world was hit by this unfortunate pandemic. I’m pleased to announce that we are resuming work and will commence shoot later this year. Uri: The Surgical Strike celebrated the courage of the Indian Army and Tejas is our dedication to the brave fighter pilots of the Indian Air Force,” producer Ronnie Screwvala shares.

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Panga (2020). Her upcoming release is Thalaivi, a biopic of J Jayalalithaa.
