Rajinikanth prays for SP Balasubrahmanyam's speedy recovery
The singer’s son, Charan, released a video yesterday sharing that SPB has gained consciousness and even showed thumbs up to doctors, though he is still on life support
Following news that legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has been admitted to a private hospital due to Covid-19 and is under treatment, Rajinikanth has shared a video praying for his recovery. "Get well soon dear Balu sir," he wrote along with the video.
Noting that SP Balasubrahmanyam has been entertaining fans across languages for more than 50 years, Rajinikanth said, "I am happy to hear that SPB is out of the critical stage. He is now receiving extensive treatment at the hospital and I'm praying to God for his speedy recovery."

The singer was admitted to a hospital in Chennai on August 5. Prayers and wishes have been pouring in from fans and celebrities including Ilaiyaraaja, AR Rahman and Bharathiraja, among others.
