Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat has been admitted to a Hyderabad hospital due to deteriorating health. The director-actor is reportedly battling liver cirrhosis and his condition is said to be critical.
The 50-year-old filmmaker, who has battled liver cirrhosis in the past, has had a relapse, according to a report in spotboye.com.
Kamat is known for directing Bollywood films like the Ajay Devgn-Tabu-starrer Drishyam, Irrfan Khan-starrer Madaari and John Abraham's Force and Rocky Handsome, among others.
He has directed critically acclaimed Marathi films like Dombivali Fast and Lai Bhaari as well, and also featured as an actor in the Marathi film Saatchya Aat Gharat, and Hindi films Rocky Handsome and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
