Simon Cowell undergoes back surgery after bike accident 

Simon Cowell, who is one of the judges in the popular reality show America's Got Talent, met with a bike accident and was hospitalised. He underwent a major back surgery that lasted for five hours on Saturday. The TV personality is currently resting at his home in California. 

According to Variety, a metal rod was inserted into his back. A source was quoted as saying, "The injuries are bad, but he’s also been told he was lucky."

Reportedly, Simon was hurt while he was testing his new electric bike at his house in Malibu. A spokesperson told the website that he is currently doing fine.

It is still unknown if his current condition will affect America's Got Talent, which is currently in its 15th edition at NBC.
