Sadak 2 to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28 

Sadak 2 will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28, the makers announced today. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film is a sequel to Sadak (1991). The new installment stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur alongside Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The romantic drama marks Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial comeback after 21 years.

Sadak 2 catches up with Sanjay Dutt’s Ravi, who’s battling depression and joins a young girl to expose a godman. Makarand Deshpande has been cast as the new villain. The film also stars Gulshan Grover and Abdul Quadir Amin. It was shot in Ooty, Mumbai, Mysore and Uttarakhand.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Kalank (2019). She essays one of the female leads in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.  She will also be seen in Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming releases are Bhuj: The Pride of India, Torbaaz and KGF: Chapter 2.
