Shah Rukh Khan on next project: Don’t tire yourself; it’s obvious I will do some films

Shah Rukh Khan held an #AskSRK session on Twitter on Monday afternoon. The actor, who said he would be online for a while before going back to ‘doing nothing’, took questions about his future projects, Salman Khan’s new single Pyaar Karona, and the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the film industry.

On signing his next film, Shah Rukh wrote, “Abe sign to kar doon...abhi shooting kaun karega!! (I may sign but who will shoot now?)” The actor told fans to not stress themselves over his next project. “Don’t tire yourself. It’s obvious I will do some films...it’s obvious they will be made... and it’s obvious you all will know..”

Asked if he has seen Salman Khan’s lockdown anthem, Pyaar Karona, SRK wrote, “Bhai kamaal ka Single aur Singer hai…”

Another user asked if he’d like to work with Christopher Nolan or Martin Scorsese. SRK responded, “Wow, both are awesome and I have met them...but Raju apna sa lagta hai...nahi?”, hinting at his rumoured collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani.

On the pandemic’s impact on the film business, he said, “I think we will all have to press Pause...Reset and then Play our world going forward..”

SRK ended by telling everyone to practise social distancing and maintain hygiene. “Thank you all for #AskSrk. Need to get back to doing nothing. Please stay at home. Physical distancing. Hygiene. And respect all who are doing amazing work on the ground. Just love a lot more and do nothing...because Jo kuch nahi karte woh kamaal karte hain..”
