The team of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy including the hero Chiranjeevi, female lead Tamannaah and producer Ram Charan visited Chennai today to promote their film, which is hitting the screens this Wednesday.

Speaking at the event, Madhan Karky who has penned the lyrics for the Tamil album of the film stated that he is happy that Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are working on films (Sye Raa and RRR) based on the lives of freedom fighters. "I am happy to be associated with both the projects. Everything is being valued by numbers these days. If it's marks for a student, it is box office collectins for films. I really wish films are valued for their content rather than the collections. Engal ah mattum vellama yennangalavim vellanum thiraipadangal," he said.

Tamannaah who spoke throughout in Tamil began her speech with a Vanakkam. "Sye Raa doesn't solely belong to the Telugu film industry. It is truly a Pan-Indian film. Working with Chiranjeevi sir is truly humbling. Despite his age, he is always willing to go an extra-mile for acting and I really wish we also had that kind of excitement and aspiration."

Ram Charan admitted that he is a huge fan of Vijay Sethupathi and his film 96, and it was a pleasure to cast him for the role of the Tamil king Raja Pandi. "During the press meet of Racha my father said when he comes back to acting he will pair opposite Tamannaah, and he has done that in Sye Raa." He went on to thank Tamil people and actors like Arvind Swamy for their support. "Arvind Swamy sir came to our home in Hyderabad and playfully asked why we didn't cast him. And then he himself showed me the videos of the films which had his dubbing and offered to lend his voice for my father. He completed the entire dubbing within two days and the output was outstanding."

Chiranjeevi who spoke last at the event stated that he has been living with the dream fo play Narasimha Reddy for the past 12 years and it will be fulfilled on October 2."I was a bit jealous on seeing  Ram Charan playing a warrior in Magadheera. I even told him that. He took that so seriously and launched Sye Raa under his own production to make me happy." The veteran actor also praised Vijay Sethupathi for his simplicity and hard work. "People generally say that I am very simple. But, according to me, Vijay Sethupathi is the most humble actor I've ever met."

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, also starring Nayanthara, Sudeep, and Amitabh Bachchan, the film has music by Amit Trivedi.
