Anushka Sharma only Bollywood actor on 50 Most Powerful Business Women list

Anushka Sharma is the only Bollywood actor to feature on Fortune India’s list of 50 Most Powerful Business Women in 2019. The actor-producer, who was last seen in the 2018 film Zero, ranks 39th on the list. She is also the youngest personality on the list topped by corporate lawyer Zia Mody, pharmaceutical magnate Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and healthcare luminary Suneeta Reddy. 

Anushka headlines the clothing line Nush and several lifestyle brands. She founded her production company, Clean Slate Films, in 2014. She has co-produced the films NH10, Phillauri and Pari. Her banner is producing two upcoming web-series for Netflix and Amazon respectively. There also bankrolling the crime-drama Kaneda, directed by Navdeep Singh, and a Netflix film titled Bulbul. 

Anushka played a space scientist with cerebral palsy in Aanand L Rai’s Zero. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The trio had previously worked together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012).
