Prabhas as Ravana, Hrithik Roshan as Ram, Deepika Padukone as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana?
The Ramayana adaptation is being co-produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra

Prabhas has been approached to play Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, claims a report. The ambitious project will be fronted by Hrithik Roshan as Rama and Deepika Padukone as Sita, the report suggests.
A three-part live-action adaptation of Ramayana was announced in July. The films will be co-directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar on an estimated budget of Rs 600 crore, the highest ever for a Bollywood production.
As per the buzz, Prabhas is yet to give his nod to the project. The Baahubali actor has been considered for the role of Ravana because of his build and personality. The makers also think the actor’s pan-Indian appeal will add value to the project.
The Ramayana adaptation is being co-produced by Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra. The screenplay is written by Sreedhar Raghavan. The first part will hit theatres in 2021. The films will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
“This project has been a work in progress for the last three years,” co-director Ravi Udyawar had earlier shared. “Progress includes scenes from Ayodhya with its emblematic rose-tinted tree of learning, a gold-splashed Lanka, and a lush-green Mithila with Nepalese architecture, beside battles between the devas and the rakshasas and the aquatic underwater life, among others. They will serve as references for the setting, costume, cast, and action.”
