Tamannaah's horror-comedy Petromax, which was set to hit the screens this month, has been postponed to the last week of October. The film has thus joined the Diwali race, and will face Vijay-Atlee's Bigil at the box office.

Petromax, directed by Adhe Kangal-fame Rohin Venkatesan, is said to be the official remake of the Taapsee-starrer Anando Brahma. The film was shot in a single 42-day schedule. The first ten days of production happened in Chennai, while the rest of the film was shot in Karaikudi.

Apart from this film, Tamannaah is awaiting the release of Action, co-starring Vishal in Tamil, and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu. She was last seen in the Hindi thriller, Khamoshi, and the Tamil horror-comedy, Devi 2
