Malavika Mohanan approached for Thalapathy 64?

Malavika Mohanan, who made her Tamil debut with the Rajinikanth-starrer Petta, is reportedly in talks to play the female lead of Vijay’s upcoming film with Maanagaram-director Lokesh Kanakaraj, which has been Thalapathy 64. Earlier it was being speculated that Kiara Advani or Rashmika Mandanna might bag the role. 

Malavika made her film debut with the Malayalam film, Pattam Pole. She later made news for playing the lead in Majid Majidi’s Beyond the clouds. She is currently part of the Telugu film, Hero, which has her sharing screen space with Vijay Deverakonda. 

Apart from Malavika, it is also being speculated that Vijay Sethupathi might be roped in to play the villain in Thalapathy 64. Malavika and Vijay Sethupathi have previously worked together in Petta.

Meanwhile, Vijay is gearing up for the release of Atlee’s Bigil. The Mersal actor will begin shooting for Thalapathy 64 soon.
