Rathna Kumar’s second directorial Aadai, featuring Amala Paul, will now get a Hindi remake. Rathna Kumar confirmed that the project will be launched soon, and he will be taking up the directorial duties for the Hindi version too.

Soon after Rathna Kumar's announcement, reports were rife that Kangana Ranuat has been approached for playing the lead in the project. However, closes close to Kangana clarified that the reports are false, and she has not been approached for the remake.

Aadai, which revolves around a woman who gets stuck in a building naked, garnered a lot of praise for Amala's performance and its sensitive approach towards filming the nude portions.

Meanwhile, Rathna Kumar has contributed to the screenplay of Vijay’s upcoming film, which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Tentatively called Thalapathy 64, the film will also star Vijay Sethupathi, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, and Malavika Mohanan.
