While promoting his debut Hindi film Kabir Singh, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had revealed that he is writing a new film based on crime. The filmmaker had also expressed interest in shifting to Mumbai and making Bollywood movies.

Today, Kabir Singh producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani announced that they will be bankrolling Sandeep’s untitled next. It is unclear at the moment if the upcoming crime drama will be a bilingual or a standalone Hindi film. The makers are planning to reveal the cast of the film soon.

Sandeep made his directorial debut with Arjun Reddy (2017). The Telugu hit starred Vijay Devarakonda as an alcoholic surgeon with anger-management issues. The idea was adapted to a North Indian setting in Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.

Released in June, Kabir Singh grossed over Rs 370 crore at the box-office. It holds the spot of the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019 so far.
