Vetrimaaran's Asuran, which released last week, has been garnering positive word of mouth from the critics and the audience. Dhanush's performance in the film as the middle-aged father, who faces caste oppression is also being lauded unanimously by the viewers and celebrities. The recent one to praise the film is Kaala director Pa Ranjith.

The filmmaker, whose all projects address the casteism in the society, tweeted out warm words about the Dhanush starrer. He wrote," A hearty thanks to Vetrimaaran for telling the story about the ironmen of our land on the Tamizh screens, Dhanush for delivering a terrific performance and V Creations for trusting this wonderful project. Let us shout out, the land is our right!!"

Pa Ranjith is reportedly busy with the pre-production works of the tribal freedom fighter, Birsa Munda biopic. On the production front, he has Irandam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu waiting for release.
