We had previously reported that director Naveen of Moodar Koodam fame is working on an action thriller titled Agni Siragugal, starring Arun Vijay and Vijay Antony in the lead. It is now known that Akshara Haasan, who was last seen in this year's Vikram-starrer Kadaram Kondan, has joined the cast of this film.

“The second schedule of Agni Siragugal will happen in Moscow and Saint Petersburg in Russia, and we will be shooting major action sequences in this schedule. We were actually supposed to kick-start this schedule last month itself. However, we had to wait for the dates of all the artistes," says director Naveen.

Also starring Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, J Satish Kumar, Sendrayan, and Naveen himself, the film's first schedule was recently completed in Kolkata, and the crew has left for Russia for the new schedule.

While KA Batcha is in charge of the cinematography, Natarajan Sankaran is composing music for Agni Siragugal, which is produced by Amma Creations.
