Chiranjeevi Sarja roped in for Rachita Ram's April 

Chiranjeevi Sarja has been roped in for Rachita Ram's April, directed by debutant Satya Rayala. The film, which was initially supposed to be a female-centric entertainer, has now evolved into a commercial thriller, after the addition of the Khaki hero.
 
The producers of the film Narayan Babu and Satya Rayala have reportedly made a lot of changes in the narrative, retaining the core theme of the story. As both Chiranjeevi and Rachita have a strong fan following, the makers felt that blending commercial elements to the story will take it to a wider audience. The lead pair has also reportedly liked the changes made to the script and asked the makers to go ahead with the production. 

The film has cinematography by Arjun Shetty and editing by Pratheek. April will mark the debut of Sachin Basrur as an independent music director. The director, who is looking to start shooting in December, and is currently busy finalising the cast. 

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has completed shooting for Aadya, Rajamarthanda, Shivarajuna, and Khaki, which are all in the post-production stage. The actor is currently shooting for Kshatriya after which he is planning to take up April. Rachita Ram, who was last seen in I Love You is juggling between the sets of Ramesh Aravind’s 100 and Prem’s upcoming directorial Ek Love Ya. She is also said to have roped has been signed opposite Dhananjay in Daali
