Divya Khosla Kumar is set to star opposite John Abraham in Milap Zaveri's Satyameva Jayate 2. Produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment, the sequel to the 2018 film, which starred John and Manoj Bajpayee, will go on floors soon.

Divya made her Bollywood debut in Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo (2004). She has also directed the films Yaariyan (2014) and Sanam Re (2016). Her last onscreen appearance was in BulBul (2017), a short film directed by Ashish Panda.

“I didn’t want to act in a film just for the sake of it,” Divya said. “For me, what matters is the story and the role, and I got the right opportunity with this film.”

Speaking about the sequel, Milap said, “Satyameva Jayate 2 is twice the action, emotion, power, patriotism, and punch. Lead by John as a crusader for justice, and Divya joining the franchise, I hope next Gandhi Jayanti we provide audiences with a powerful entertainer that also gives a strong message against corruption.”

Satyameva Jayate 2 is slated to hit screens on October 2, 2020. Milap’s upcoming release is Marjaavaan, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, and Riteish Deshmukh.
