Suriya raps for Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru

Suriya has turned singer once again. In his upcoming release, Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, the actor has sung the rap portions of the film's theme song, the Maara Theme.

This is the first time Suriya has sung for GV Prakash Kumar. The composer announced this on Twitter, sharing a picture of the actor and himself from the recording session for Soorarai Pottru.

Suriya has earlier lent his voice to songs like Ek Dho Teen (Anjaan) and Cha Cha Charey (Party). 

Soorarai Pottru also features Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and Mohan Babu. The film, which is said to be loosely based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, is expected to hit the screens in Summer 2020.
