Ram Charan to play younger version of Chiranjeevi's character in Chiru 152

Chiranjeevi is all set to commence shooting for his next in December. The film, directed by Kortala Siva and co-starring Ram Charan, has been tentatively titled Chiru 152. The story of the yet-to-be-titled film is set in the backdrop of Srikakulam and it showcases Chiru as a naxalite-turned-social reformer named Acharya.

We had already reported that Ram Charan will be playing a crucial role in the social drama, and now we hear that he will be seen as a 30-year-old youngster, Govind, who turns into the social reformer Acharya.

Initially, Chiru was supposed to play the younger part as well, but Koratala seems to have convinced Charan to take it up. In the past, Chiru and Charan have worked on films like Magadheera, Bruce Lee, and Khaidi No. 150.

Chiranjeevi will kick-start the shooting with a song followed by two important scenes, which will be shot in a specially constructed set in Hyderabad. The unit will take a 10-day break during Sankranthi and will resume the long schedule in the last week of January.

Trisha, who earlier acted with Chiru in Stalin, has been signed to play one of the female leads, while the hunt is on to find the other.

Produced by Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments, Chiru 152 has music by Ajay-Atul.
