Riding high on the success of her latest film iSmart Shankar, actor Nidhhi Agerwal has now signed her next movie in Telugu, directed by Sriram Adittya. The Hyderabadi girl will be playing the female lead opposite debutant Ashok Galla in the film, which is set to be bankrolled by a new production house.

"It's going to be an interesting role that gives Nidhhi a good scope to prove her mettle as an actor. She is yearning to play versatile characters and that is why she has signed this crime comedy," informs a source.

The untitled film will go on floors on November 10 after a grand launch event for Ashok at a popular studio. Apart from this film, Nidhhi is also working in a Tamil film titled Bhoomi. Ashok was supposed to debut in October last year with Dil Raju's production Ade Nuvvu Ade Nenu.

However, he walked out of the film due to creative differences with the makers and Ashok was later replaced by Raj Tharun. Rechristened Iddari Lokam Okate, the film is being directed by Aadu Magaadra Bujji-fame Krishnareddy Gangadhasuu and features Shalini Pandey as the leading lady.
