Ajith Kumar to turn cop again for Vinoth's film after Nerkonda Paarvai?

We had earlier reported that Ajith Kumar's follow-up project to Nerkonda Paarvai will see the actor team up with the same team of the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit Pink. Slated to be a full-fledged commercial entertainer, Ajith's next will be produced by Boney Kapoor, and directed by Theeran-fame H Vinoth. 

Now, we hear that Ajith will be playing a police officer in this yet-to-be-titled film, and the actor is apparently on a strict fitness regimen to look the part. Ajith had earlier played the cop in films like Mankatha, Aarambam, Aegan, and Yennai Arindhaal. 

Meanwhile, Nerkonda Paarvai is all set to hit the screens on August 10. The Pink adaptation has Ajith reprising the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original, while Shraddha takes on the role made memorable by Taapsee Pannu. Vidya Balan, Adhik Ravichandran, Arjun Chidambaram, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang play supporting roles in this film with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
