Michael Pena to play the antagonist in Tom and Jerry hybrid film 

Michael Peña, who was last seen in The Mule, will play the antagonist in the upcoming Warner Bros’ take on the classic Tom & Jerry, cartoon. The film will be a combination of both animation and live-action footages and it will be directed by Tim Story. 

Peña joins Chloe Grace Moretz, who plays a new hire at a hotel where Jerry is a residing. Her character Kayla, gets worried about losing her job and hires a poor street cat, Tom to tackle Jerry. 

Peña, on the other hand, plays, Terrance, the deputy general manager of the hotel. The character is a bully, who hires Kayla as a temporary employee and pits her against Tom and Jerry once she starts impressing the management.

Chris DeFaria is producing the film with Story and Adam Goodman as executive producers. The newest Tom & Jerry adaptation will hit the theatres on April 16, 2021.
