Lohith K's upcoming directorial Devaki stars almost 25 artistes from a Bengali drama group called ENAD. With an intention to make the Priyanka Upendra-starrer as close to reality as possible, the director has made the actors dub for themselves.

“Since Devaki is a realistic subject, I am making sure it has a convincing narration. The screenplay and dialogues have been carefully worked out for each of the languages," says Lohith.

The makers have completed the shooting of this film and almost 20 per cent of the project was shot in Kolkata. A Kannada-Tamil bilingual, Devaki marks the debut of Priyanka’s daughter Aishwarya Upendra, and also stars Sanjeev Jaiswal, best known for his role as Kasab in Ram Gopal Varma’s The Attacks of 26/11.

Produced by Raveesh and Akshay, the film has Nobin Paul scoring music, and HC Venu cranking the camera. Devaki is likely to release in June.
