We had earlier reported that Rana Daggubati, who was last seen in the two-part NTR biopic in Telugu, will be playing a 50-year-old in Prabhu Solomon's Kaadan. With the actor resuming shooting for the film in the jungles of Kerala after a month's break, a leaked photo from the sets has gone viral, raising expectations on the otherwise-secretive project. The actor, known for his muscular physique, is seen sporting a lanky, unkempt look with a long beard in the picture.

The Eros International production, which also stars Vishnu Vishal, Zoya Hussein, and Kalki Koechlin, is being made in three languages -- Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The film, which revolves around an elephant and highlights the dynamics between man and animal, is titled Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi, and Aranya in Telugu. While Vishnu will be part of the Tamil and Telugu versions, Fukrey-fame Pulkit Samrat will play his role in the Hindi version. Rana, Zoya, and Kalki, however, will be part of all the three versions.

Kaadan, inspired by true events, is said to be a tribute to the 1971 classic, Haathi Mere Saathi, starring Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja.
