Shraddha to play a cop in Vishal's Irunbuthirai sequel

We had recently reported that Shraddha Srinath, who was last seen in Arulnithi’s K-13 and Nani’s Jersey, has been roped in to play the female lead in the sequel to Vishal's 2018 hit, Irumbuthirai, to be produced under Vishal Film Factory, and directed by a newcomer, Anand, an erstwhile assistant to director Ezhil.

Now we hear that Shraddha will be playing a cop in the film for the first time in her career. The actor, who will be sporting a new look in the film, will be reportedly required to perform her own stunts in the action sequences. The film, which will see Vishal reprise his role as an army officer, went on floors earlier this month.

Shraddha, meanwhile, has completed her portions for Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink. The actor reprises Taapsee Pannu’s role from the original in the Ajith-starrer, which is slated for release on August 15. She also has Maara in Tamil, Jodi in Telugu, and Rustom and Godhra in Kannada, in various stages of production. Vishal, on the other hand, has the yet-to-be-titled Sundar C film, co-starring Tamannaah and Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Mysskin's Thupparivaalan 2 in the pipeline.
