Actor Harshvardhan Rane, last seen in JP Dutta’s 2018 war epic, Paltan, will next be starring in an upcoming mythological superhero franchise. Titled K-7 — The Story of Seven Immortals, the project will be rolled out as a seven-part film series, helmed by ad filmmaker, Lyod Baptista, and produced by Mini Films and Kyro-Spark.
The franchise is said to present a modern-day take on the Hindu Chiranjeevis, who according to mythology used to live on earth from ‘Satyug’ to ‘Kalyug’. The script has apparently been researched over a period of one-and-a-half years.
Mansi Varun Bagla of Mini Films said in a statement, “With this project, our aim is to take the concept of Indian superheroes to the world. It’s a mega project, which we will convert into a franchise by making seven films on seven Chiranjeevis that will go on floors one after the other. This will require a lot of VFX work as Hollywood superhero films have already set the bar high.”
