Masters of the Universe has finally found its He-Man for the upcoming big screen adaptation of the beloved cartoon. Noah Centineo, who co-starred in Netflix’s hugely popular 2018 teen romcom, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, has confirmed that he will be playing Prince Adam of Eternia aka He-Man in the upcoming live-action movie reboot.

This film, which has been in the works for more than a decade now, was recently delayed again until 2020. It will be directed by Aaron and Adam Nee (of Band of Robbers fame), and written by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.

The Masters of the Universe franchise spans comics, video games, and animated TV shows, including the ongoing Netflix series, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Those who grew up in the 1980s will likely remember Filmation's cartoon He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, as well as the 1987 live-action film, starring Dolph Lundgren as Prince Adam.
