Kriti Sanon to play the lead in Rahul Dholakia's next

Kriti Sanon has been roped in for director Rahul Dholakia’ untitled next. Touted to be a thriller, the film will go on floors in August and release in 2020. Kriti was last seen alongside Kartik Aryan in Luka Chuppi, a box-office hit. She also made a special appearance in Kalank. 

“I have been waiting for the right female-driven thriller to come my way and this film ticked all the boxes. It has all the elements of a commercial film. It's an entertainer that has a powerful core idea and will connect with the audience without being preachy,” says Kriti, who plays a media professional in the film. 

The upcoming project is written by author Bilal Siddiqi and produced by Sunir Kheterpal for Azure Entertainment. The makers are planning to hire a top South Korean VFX company for the film. 

Rahul Dholakia is known for directing Parzania and Lamhe. His last outing was Raees (2017), starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Kriti Sanon’s upcoming films are Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4, and Panipat.
