John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi in Sanjay Gupta's gangster drama

John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi will star in Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster film. The untitled project is set in Mumbai of the ‘80s and ‘90s and traces the key events that shaped the criminal landscape of the city. This is the first time John and Emraan will be sharing screen space. Sanjay has previously directed John in Zinda (2006) and Shootout At Wadala (2013). 

“It is my third outing with John and I'm super excited to work with Emraan. I have always wanted to work with him. I am back to my base of filmmaking — gangster dramas — and all I can say is... it’s good to be home,” Sanjay said. 

Produced by White Features and T-Series, the untitled gangster saga is expected to go on floors in July. Sanjay Gupta’s last directorial outing was Kaabil (2017). John Abraham was last seen in Romeo Akbar Walter. Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming release is the Netflix India show, Bard of Blood.
