Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen playing a trans woman in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja-directorial Super Deluxe, will be playing a dual role for the first time in his career in Vaalu-fame Vijay Chander's Sanga Tamizhan

The film went on floors in Hyderabad a few months back, following which the second schedule happened in Madurai, Theni and now, the team is reportedly shooting the climax action-sequence involving Vijay Sethupathi and the villains in Courtallam. This final schedule is expected to be completed in a week or so.

Meanwhile, the film’s satellite and digital rights have been acquired by Sun TV for an amount of 12 crores.

Starring Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashi Khanna as the female leads, Sanga Tamizhan also features Nassar, Soori, Sriman, and Ashutosh Rana in supporting roles. Bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, the film has Velraj handling the cinematography, and Praveen KL taking care of editing duties. The film also marks composer duo Vivek-Mervin's first collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi. Incidentally, the Gulaebaghavali music directors replaced D Imman in this project. 

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has a bunch of films in hand, including Sindhubaadh, Laabam and Maamanithan in Tamil, Marconi Mathai in Malayalam, and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Uppena in Telugu.
