Actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas' new film Rakshasudu will release on July 18, announced producer Havish on Saturday. The film, directed by Ramesh Varma of Ride-fame, is a remake of Tamil thriller Ratsasan.

The investigative thriller has Sreenivas reprising Vishnu Vishal's role of a cop and Anupama Parameswaran stepping into the shoes of Amala Paul as the female lead. The teaser was unveiled by the makers on Saturday and looks like the makers have stayed true to the original. The 50-second video reveals that the story revolves around a psychopath suffering from an anti-social personality disorder and how a sub-inspector, played by Sreenivas solves the case while going through a personal tragedy. Ghibran has scored the music for the film also featuring Rajeev Kanakala in a pivotal role.
