Even as Ajith Kumar's next, Nerkonda Paarvai - the first collaboration between actor Ajith, director H Vinoth, and producer Boney Kapoor - is all set to hit the screens on August 8, updates about their next have started doing the rounds. AK 60, again directed by Vinoth, is said to be an original script - an action-packed entertainer that will be made on a massive budget.

The latest speculation making rounds is that Thala 60 might have music composed by Oscar-winner AR Rahman. Reportedly, the producer had met the musician recently, and most probably, an official clarification on this will be out soon. AR Rahman had also composed music for Sridevi's last film, Mom.

Reports are also rife that Jhanvi Kapoor will be making her debut in Tamil with this project playing a pivotal role. The authenticity of these reports is however unknown.

Meanwhile, Ajith seems to have shed quite a few kilos to look the part of the racer in the action film.  While earlier reports suggested Ajith would play a cop in the film, it has now come to light that AK 60 will be an action entertainer in which Ajith will play a bike racer.

Producer Boney Kapoor had also revealed that the film will capitalize on the actor's passion for racing. Thala 60 is expected to be shot in locations like Budapest, South Africa, and the Middle East.
