Gajrao Rao, Neena Gupta reunite for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, the upcoming sequel revolves around the subject of same-sex love

Badhaai Ho actors Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta are reuniting with Ayushmann Khurrana for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. A sequel to 2017’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the new film revolves around the subject of same-sex love. The comedy-drama is directed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L. Rai. 

“With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, we chose to explore a novel subject in an unusually unexpected setting. A unique story like this needed talents like Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao and I'm so happy to have them on board," Anand L. Rai said.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated to go on floors in August and release in early 2020. Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta played the role of Ayushmann’s parents in Badhaai Ho. The film garnered positive reviews and ranked among the highest-grossing films of 2018. 

Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Article 15. His upcoming projects include Dream Girl, Bala and Gulabo Sitabo.
