Vanessa Kirby to play Catwoman in The Batman?
It was previously rumoured that Kristen Stewart might star in the role of Gotham's elusive cat burglar
After the surprise announcement of Robert Pattinson as the next Batman for Matt Reeves's upcoming film The Batman, it is now speculated that Vanessa Kirby has been roped in as Catwoman/Selina Kyle.
It was previously rumoured that Kristen Stewart, who had worked alongside Pattinson in the Twilight series, might star in the role of Gotham's elusive cat burglar. However, a source close to the director says that Reeves is interested in getting Kirby to play the role. Meanwhile, another speculation states that the film, which will hit theatres on June 25, 2021, will feature six of Batman's greatest adversaries including The Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face. There is as yet no official announcement about either of these reports.
Vanessa Kirby, who is known for starring in films such as Mission Impossible: Fallout, Kill Command, Me Before You, Bone in the Throat, and Everest, will next be seen as Jason Statham's sister in the forthcoming Fast and the Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.
