Kaappaan update: First single, Siruki, drops; Suriya fans rejoice

The first single from Kaappaan, the multi-starrer directed by KV Anand, Siriki, is out. The music is composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Siriki - a peppy folk number - has been sung by folk artistes Senthil Ganesh and Ramani Ammal. The lyrics have been written by S Gnanakaravel.

Meanwhile, Sony Music South has bagged the audio rights of Kaappaan. An announcement regarding the audio release and the teaser release date is expected soon.

Suriya shares screen space with Mohanlal for the first time in Kaappaan, which has the actors play a special agent and the Prime Minister of India, respectively.

Produced by Lyca Productions, Kaappaan has an ensemble cast that includes the likes of Arya, Boman Irani, and Samuthirakani. Sayyeshaa plays the female lead.

With cinematography by Abhinandan Ramanujam, Kaappaan is scheduled for release on Independence Day.
