Pailwaan to be released for Sudeep’s birthday?

Director S Krishna’s upcoming directorial, Pailwaan, starring Sudeep, is currently in the post-production phase. The team behind the film, which is targeting a worldwide release in about 2,500 theatres and in five languages, has decided to move the release back from August 8 to August 29. Given that September 2 is the star's birthday as well as a holiday (Ganesh Chaturthi), the team felt that this would not just be a treat for fans but also a prudent production decision. An official confirmation about the new release date of Pailwaan is awaited from the makers or Sudeep.

Krishna, who also doubles as the producer of the film, has made Pailwaan under the RRR Motion Pictures banner. The film will be released in five languages, and the Telugu version has already been bagged by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. The team is also close to finalising the deal with the distributors in other states.

Meanwhile, a mega audio launch is being planned, the date for which will be announced soon. Pailwaan has music by Arjun Janya and cinematography by Karunakara. It also marks the debut of heroine, Akanksha Singh, and Bollywood actors, Suniel Shetty and Sushant Singh.
