Rosario Dawson to star in Zombieland 2
The actor joins other newcomers Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia for the sequel to the zombie comedy, which sees the return of the original cast and director
Rosario Dawson has joined Zombieland 2, the sequel to the 2009 post-apocalyptic zombie comedy. The film is set to welcome back the original cast of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin, with Ruben Fleischer, the director, also returning to helm it after his successful Venom stint.
Written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who incidentally wrote Zombieland, the sequel sees the zombie killers face evolved zombies and human survivors from the east coast White House setup all the way to the heartland of America.
Dawson joins other newcomers Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia, and filming is set to start later this week with a fixed release date of October 11.
Dawson is well known for her comic book roles in Sin City, Netflix Marvel series such as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Defenders and the DC Animated Universe. She now has the romantic comedy Someone Great in post-production.
