Emily Blunt to be honoured at Palm Springs Film Festival
The actor's Mary Poppins Returns is expected to hit Indian screens this Friday

Emily Blunt, whose Mary Poppins Returns is expected to hit Indian screens this Friday, will be receiving the Creative Impact in Acting Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival on the same day.
The award honours Blunt's work in 2018, which included playing the titular role in the aforementioned Disney sequel to the 1964 classic and being an integral part of her husband, John Krasinki's directorial debut, A Quiet Place.
The actor has received SAG nominations for both the roles and a Golden Globe nomination for Mary Poppins Returns.
Previous recipients of the Creative Impact award include Get Out-actor Daniel Kaluuya, Academy Award-winner Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg, and Steve Carell.
Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther, will also be honoured at the festival, which takes place between January 3-14, with the Creative Impact in Directing award.
