Ilaiyaraaja sings for Sivakarthikeyan's Hero

It looks like Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero will have a surprise track sung by Ilaiyaraaja. The film’s music director Yuvan Shankar Raja took to social media to announce that he has recorded a song with his father, Ilaiyaraaja, for the superhero film.

The lyrics for this song have been penned by Pa Vijay. Incidentally, this is the first time Ilaiyaraaja has sung for a Sivakarthikeyan film.

Notably, three songs from the film’s album — Malto Kithapuleh, the Hero Theme, and Over-ah Feel Panuren — have already been released as singles. While the first song had lyrics by Rokesh, the other two numbers' lyrics are by Pa Vijay.

Directed by PS Mithran, Hero features Sivakarthikeyan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Abhay Deol among others. The film is produced by KJR Studios and will hit screens on December 20.
