First look of Ramya Krishnan in Queen unveiled
Set to stream on MX player, the series is loosely based on the life of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa
The first look of Queen, a web series directed by Gautham Menon and Prasath Murugesan, has been unveiled today. The poster features Ramya Krishnan in a white saree with the colours of AIADMK on the border, set against the backdrop of a political rally.
Queen, which will mark the Baahubali actor’s foray into the digital space, will be streamed on MX player. The series is loosely based on the life of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, with Ramya Krishnan playing the titular actor-turned politician. Anikha Surendar will play her younger role, while Anjana Jayaprakash will essay the teenager version.
The series will also reportedly feature 96-fame Adithya Basakar and Indrajit Sukumaran in a role that is inspired by MG Ramachandran.
While the release date of the entire is yet to be announced, the trailer for the series will be launched tomorrow.
