The fourth film of the actor-director duo is currently in its final leg of the shoot
Vetrimaaran and Dhanush's upcoming film, Asuran, will hit the screens on October 4, right before the Dussehra weekend. An official announcement regarding the release was made today.
The fourth film of the duo is currently in its final leg of the shoot, and in a recent interview, Vetrimaaran had disclosed that Dhanush will be seen playing the roles of a father and son in Asuran.
It can be noted that Dhanush has previously played a dual role as identical twins in the 2016 political drama, Kodi. Interestingly, Dhanush's upcoming film with Durai Senthilkumar also features the actor in a dual role.

With music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by Velraj, Asuran is bankrolled by S Thanu under his banner V Creations.
Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are expected to start working on their Vada Chennai sequel after wrapping up Asuran. Apart from these projects, Dhanush has his own directorial co-starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Srikanth, and a film each with Pariyerum Perumal-fame Mari Selvaraj and Ratsasan-fame Ramkumar, in his kitty.
