Rajinikanth, who is presently shooting for the final schedule of the AR Murugadoss-directorial, Darbar, produced by Lyca Productions, has reportedly signed his next project, Thalaivar 168, for Sun Pictures. Siruthai Siva, who last made the Ajith-starrer Viswasam, is said to be directing this big-budget film.
Now, we hear that the film will be an authentic rural entertainer in Siva's style — a genre that Rajinikanth has not attempted for quite some time now. It is also being said that the final draft of the script has been locked.
The film, which is expected to go on floors within the next couple of months, is said to be eyeing a Diwali 2020 release. An official confirmation on the project is expected soon.
