With speculations swirling around her being a part of Shankar's Indian 2, Priya Bhavani Shankar took to Instagram earlier today to confirm her presence in the movie. The Monster actor wrote,

"So this big thing has been exciting me for a while now. I believe in the universe and the universe gives you what you demand with your actions. But playing lead along side Kamal Haasan sir sir and my fav Siddharth and our Queen lady Kajal Aggarwal under Shankar sir’s direction is a bunch of blessings at a shot. Tell me about Anirudh musical. #Indian2"

This confirms the presence of Siddharth too in the film and the Sivappu Manjal Pachai actor is expected to play the grandson of Kamal Haasan in the sequel.

Indian 2, produced by Lyca Productions, is all set to go on floors later this month and the first schedule is expected to be in Rajamundhry in Andhra.

Kamal Haasan, who is currently hosting the third season of Bigg Boss had surprised the audience the past weekend without his signature moustache. He revealed the reason behind the move as getting ready to shoot for Indian 2 and Thalaivan Irukkindraan.

A sequel to Shankar's 1996 film of the same name, the film follows the life of an octogenarian vigilante Senapathi, who rises to fight against corruption. A trilingual in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, Indian 2 is expected to be released on Independence Day 2020.
