Nithya Menen to do a cameo in RRR?

She has been reportedly offered a tribal girl's character, who falls in love with the character played by NTR in the film

Nithya Menen will reportedly be seen in a cameo appearance in director SS Rajamouli’s period actioner, RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Rumours are rife that she has been offered the role of a tribal girl, who falls in love with the character played by NTR in the pre-Independence era film. “The character has a lot of potential for drama. However, Nithya is yet to give her nod,” says a source close to the film's unit. If everything goes as planned, RRR will be her second collaboration with NTR after Janata Garage.

British actor Daisy Edgar-Jones, who was signed to play NTR's love interest (not related to the role offered to Nithya), walked out of the project recently, quoting personal reasons. The makers, who are on the lookout for a suitable replacement, have reportedly initiated talks with a couple of foreign actors. While team has already wrapped up two schedules -- one in Hyderabad and another in Gujarat -- the shooting has been put on hold to allow for the recuperation of NTR and Ram Charan, who had both suffered injuries on the sets.

The next schedule is expected to start in the second week of May in Pune. Also featuring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Samuthirakani in crucial roles, RRR has music by MM Keeravani. The film is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and six other Indian languages on July 30.
